SAVANNAH – Shelley Elaine Horne, 39, of Savannah died suddenly Sunday, April 27, 2014.
"Everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!" Corinthians 5:17
Shelley was born on October 20, 1974 to Glenn and Wanda Horne of Savannah. Shelley attended Hershel V. Jenkins high school. She loved the outdoors and could be found many times putting her feet in the sand at Tybee Island and St. Simons Island beach. She loved animals and took in many strays over her lifetime. She had a giving and loving heart and often helped those in need. She loved flowers, especially the roses, and enjoyed her time in the garden. Her laughter was contagious.
Shelley leaves behind her parents Glenn and Wanda Horne of Savannah, one sister, Aimee Hickman of Savannah, one brother, Daniel Horne and wife Jacque of Savannah, her maternal grandparents, Allman and Myra Hogsed of Canton, Georgia, Uncle Ralph and Aunt Carol Solomons of Savannah, Uncle Michael and Aunt Vickie Smith of Atlanta, and many more uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and a whole lot of loving close friends.
Shelley also leaves behind her most precious gifts, her three children, Courtney Singletary and husband Chris of Brunswick, Abigail and Daniel Smith, Jr. of Garden City and her adorable grandchild, Allison Singletary of Brunswick.
Visitation with family will be will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Giddens officiating. Burial will be private.
Donations can be made to the Humane Society of Savannah or to a charity of your choice.
